Typing anywhere

With no command running and focus on the canvas, typing a letter jumps straight into the command line. You do not have to click into it first.

Enter repeats the last command

Pressing Enter on an empty command line runs the last command again. While a multi-point command is already running, Enter finishes it instead.

Auto-complete

A suggestion list appears as you type.

How to Use:

1. Start typing a command name. Matching commands are listed as you go.
2. Press Esc to close the list and keep what you have typed.
3. Press Esc again to clear the text.
4. Press Esc a third time to cancel the command.

Built-in help

Type ? or HELP to list the categories. HELP <text> searches command names, labels and categories.

Arguments

Words typed after a command answer its prompts. For example OFFSET 500 skips the distance dialog and offsets by 500 directly. An out-of-range or invalid value falls back to asking normally.

This applies to the 13 commands marked takes a value — not to every command.

Option keywords

For the 8 commands marked takes an option keyword, a typed word selects an option by prefix. Other commands do not take option keywords.

Coordinates

While a command is running, coordinates are accepted exactly as the on-canvas dynamic input accepts them: 500, 1000,500 and @400<45.

Ambiguous input

A prefix that matches several commands lists them rather than erroring — typing AC shows the AC commands so you can pick one.

Selection

34 commands are marked needs a selection. Select the objects first, then run the command.
